Home for Life Companion is a family safety planning tool. We built it to support independence without surveillance. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1. What We Do NOT Collect
- No GPS/location tracking
- No camera recording
- No audio listening
2. What We Collect to Provide the Service
- Account info (e.g., email, language preference)
- Settings you choose (check-in schedule, reminder times, quick contacts)
- Routine events (check-ins, missed check-in status, notifications you enable)
- Optional content you provide (e.g., text you paste into Scam Pause) to show guidance in-app
- Support communications if you contact us
3. How We Use Information
- To run the features you request (check-ins, reminders, quick contacts)
- To send notifications you enable
- To provide support and keep the service secure
- To improve reliability and performance (aggregate/limited metrics)
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may use service providers (hosting, notifications). They may process data only to provide services to us.
5. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and prevent abuse.
